I never believed this was going to Happen to me ! Smitten by the GOOGLE BUG !
Ah ! I hate that very thought... but I am addicted to it. I wish there existed a PANACEA for all Google related stuff ( some sort of anti-Google potion that I could swallow and stop google'ing )
In fact , most of my friends don't realize the very fact that they are sailing in the same boat too..
Here are some of my reasons for why I feel so ...
1)Most of us act like a self appointed private detective and Google everything from our own name to our coworkers new phone...
2) Misery loves company
Any situation you go through from Finding a job to relationship woes..people Google to find a solution . Understand that what is offered in Google is just a opinion and may not be an advice.
Most people confuse here , difference between OPINION and ADVICE .
3) Google Spy
Be it spying at one of those old college foe(s) who messed with your ego or gave you a hard time in those inter college competitions. You go look at their career profiles/personal profiles to see what they are up-to these days at try to benchmark your performance with those bunch of "friends".
4) The more you Google on something , the less you are relying on others . Trust , reliability , forgiveness are important factors in friendship.
Remember -> Advice factor from Google is Inversely proportional to your reliability factor on your friends and family.
Always trust a person , you will find a friend or a lesson ! you will have take home lesson or a reliable friend at the end of a crisis!
Remember -> Friends last longer than Google!
5) Dont google for Health advices:
I cant believe a friend of mine actually Googled on how to fix her broken thumb !
Dont google your health symptoms to identify what you are suffering from and how to cure it...
It is of the worst things you can do to yourselves.
6) Stay Hungry and Stay Foolish:
Recollect what steve jobs has told in the Harvard Commencement Ceremony, Stay Hungry .. and Stay Foolish .. Googling on something is good , dont let that adversely affect your naivity. Do not let all the information you get from Google create a preconceived notion in your mind towards something !
7)Information Overload:
Who Cares what Angelina Jolie is upto these days ! What matters to us today might be at the end on our list of concerns ten years from now ! Celebrities keep changing from decade to decade!
Finally, If you visited my blog and you are reading this .. you probably Google'ed my name or about Google syndrome. ( I don't advertise my blog). :P
Keep this in mind.. " To Google or not to Google " is the question .
